The Management Committee is committed to strengthen governance and enhance transparency and accountability level of the Lodge to ensure that the funds are used for the benefit of our residents.

With the implementation of the recommendations from the Inter-Ministry Committee (IMC) on the Regulation of Charities and Institutions of a Public Character, the Ministry of Health (MOH) is the Central Fund Administrator of some of the Institutions of a Public Character (IPC), and Apex Harmony Lodge is one of them. The recommendation was for MOH to conduct on-site review visits to the IPCs with annual income of $1 million to $5 million. The officials from the MOH Community Partnership Development Division (CPDD) conducted a Review Visit on 30 November 2006.

Though there were no major issues of concern arising from the scrutiny of AHL’s information or from the review visit, the review team offered some recommendations and good practices to strengthen the governance of AHL.

The recommendations and good practices will be implemented progressively.
