Apex Harmony Lodge (AHL) is a purpose-built home for dementia residents. The main beneficiaries of AHL are from the lower income group who require specialized and subsidized care. A brief history of the Home’s beginning is detailed below.

AHL is a separate entity and it is not affiliated to the Association of Apex Clubs of Singapore and its branch clubs, and the Association does not administer AHL. Individual members of AHL do not represent the organizations which they are affiliated to. Members serve AHL in their personal capacity.

4th January 1994 - On 4 January 1994, the concept paper on the Home was submitted to the Ministry of Health, and on 31 August 1994, the Ministry of Health approved in principle the setting up of the Home for Dementia.

1st September 1994 - On 1 September 1994, the first meeting of pro-tem committee was held and the name Apex Harmony Lodge was chosen.

30th March 1995 - On 30 March 1995, the Ministry of Health approved the Health Endowment Account.

19th May 1995 - Apex Harmony Lodge (AHL) was registered as a society on 19 May 1995 (Gazetted on 2 June 1995 vide Notification Number 1810). The Registry of Society Number is 305/94 WEL.

7th October 1995 - On 7 October 1995, a piece of land at Pasir Ris was allocated to build AHL.

23th July 1997 - It was registered as a charity under the Charities Act on 23 July 1997. The Charity Registration Number is 1270.

23th July 1997 - On23 July 1997, the ground breaking ceremony took place.

8th December 1998 - On 8 December 1998, the TOP was granted.

15th April 1999 - The Licence to operate as a Nursing Home was issued to AHL on 15 April 1999, with a licensed capacity for 210 residents.

3rd September 1999 - On 3 September 1999, the Day Care Centre was opened. The capacity is 20.

27th November 1999 - On 27 November 1999, Rear-Admiral Teo Chee Hean, Minister for Education, 2nd Minister for Defence, and Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris GRC, officially declared the opening of AHL.
