Dear Family Care Partners and Friends,
We’re happy to announce that the Environment Enhancement (EE) works are progressing well! As we head into the final phase of renovation works, we’d like to inform you of the following changes to the entrance of our Lodge.
From 8 Jan till 10 Mar, kindly note that there will be no parking lots available for visitors.
From 1 Feb till 10 Mar, kindly note that the main gate will be closed, and visitors can enter through the side gate instead. Look out for the signs which will lead you into our Lodge!
The Fighter Pilot in Mr Alwi
Known for his gentle demeanour and cultured way of speaking, it was a surprise for us to learn that Mr Alwi was once a fighter pilot who fought for Singapore in World War II back in 1942. Thanks to our friends at Lien Foundation, this July, Mr Alwi had the opportunity to visit a hangar in Seletar Air Base to relive some of his memories as a fighter pilot. Watch the feature of Mr Alwi's trip here!
Alzheimer's Action Day 2018
Apex Harmony Lodge is proud to be celebrating Alzheimer’s Action Day (AAD) 2018 at Pasir Ris East Community Club, Level 2 on 29th September from 10am to 4pm. This year, our theme is “Together as a Dementia Respectful Community”, bringing everyone together as one community to support Persons with Dementia (PWD) to live well.
For AAD 2018, we would like to invite you to our fun-filled carnival!
Aside from the mouth-watering food stalls, our residents will also be performing and showcasing their talents on that day.
If you have any feedback about our AAD event, we would love to hear from you. Please share your feedback over at this link. Thank you!
Singapore Gardens Festival 2018 outing
On 2nd August 2018, a group of 17 residents and day care elderly were invited to the Singapore Gardens Festival at Gardens by the Bay. With the support of our new volunteers and staff, the elderly enjoyed themselves viewing the beautiful orchids and flowers on display.
Your donation will enable us to continue to engage and empower our residents with our unique integrated medical and psychosocial person-centred care model to bring out the best in each person with dementia, supporting them throughout their journey with dementia and enthusing them to look forward to life!
