Members of the Pilot Club of Singapore provide regular hair dressing services, and organize annual lunch sessions for the ambulant residents. The members also provide lunch-in sessions for all the residents who can participate.
Changi Air Base staff ‘adopted’ the Lodge in September 2005. At each visit about thirty staff from Changi Air Base would visit the Lodge to spend time with the residents or to accompany residents for outings.
Students: From time to time, students would come for their Community Involvement Programme. They would spend time with the residents – feeding them, listening to them, entertaining them, and having leisure talks with them.
Network for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte Ltd (NETS): AHL was one of the voluntary welfare organizations ‘adopted’ by NETS when the company launched its ‘Corporate Volunteering and Philantropic Programme’ on 21 September 2006. The staff organized a celebration for the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival on 29 September 2006 and a Christmas party on 8 December 2006 at AHL for the residents. The volunteers informed AHL of their plan to organize events for the residents quarterly.
Volunteers: Volunteers would visit the residents to bring cheer and joy to them. They would assist in the therapy services, spend time listening to residents and accompany them for outings.
