1. Morning & Evening Venture
Morning Venture is a community program that enables our residents to actively socialise with the public in the neighbourhood. This community programme allows our residents to engage their senses and promotes normalized living in a natural environment. Residents are also encouraged and given opportunity to choose what they want to have for morning tea, practise safety awareness, and also participate in grocery shopping which gives them a degree of autonomy and sense of self-worth.
Agility is the ability to change direction of the body in combination with balance, co-ordination, speed, reflexes and strength. There is a general perception that Agility is meant for athletes or young people but it is also an essential component for elderly population to prevent falls. Fun- filled agility exercises using ladders, cones and Swiss Ball are utilised to engage our residents in a safe and creative manner every Saturday.
3. Morning Group Exercise
Daily exercise is key to start a new day actively not only for the general population but also for people with dementia. Every morning theme-based icebreaking exercises are conducted through naturalised way of expressions to engage residents in a lively and enjoyable way. Residents are also motivated and energized to participate more actively as the exercises are conducted in a group setting enabling social interaction.
4. Active Rehabilitation Group (ARG)
Specific and individualised exercise protocols are designed by physio-therapy staff taking into consideration residents’ choices, abilities and strengths. The aim is to sustain residents’ functional and physical status, thereby improving their quality of life.
5. Gym Tonic 'Exercise As Medicine'
Gym Tonic sponsored by Lien Foundation is an effective, evidence-based strength training programme that improves the functional abilities of the elderly. Specially designed Gym Equipment with Pneumatic resistance provides circuit training in a safe and efficient way to our residents. To motivate resident to complete the circuit, their favourite songs of yesteryears are carefully chosen and played for their enjoyment as they do the exercises.

Apex Harmony Lodge recognizes that most elderly in Singapore has a strong work ethic and work constitutes a major part of self-identity. Being diagnosed with dementia does not erase the need to utilise their skills and experiences to contribute meaningfully to society.
People with dementia can be artists through engagement in visual arts and performance arts. These activities have therapeutic elements that enhance the well-being of people with dementia. The initiatives under Nurturing the Heart (NTH) strand aims to provide platforms for people with dementia to relate to and engage in arts in their daily lives and also to experience and express themselves through arts.
People with dementia need constant cognitive and stimulation as a form of functional maintenance due to the progressive declining nature of illness. The programs under the stands of Enlivening Minds, Delighting Senses (EMDS) aims to provide optimum sensory and cognitive stimulation to help delay decline in cognitive function and skills in activities of daily living.

With Person-Centred Care (PCC) as the main philosophy of care, Apex Harmony Lodge hopes to provide integrated, holistic and enabling care for our residents. Having social psychology as one core component of care, we value the importance of building positive relationships for them.
