This is Home, Truly
Namaste Care, Tender Loving Care
Respecting and maintaining the dignity of Mdm Ang Sew Chu
An endearing and loving grandmother, Mdm Ang took pride in caregiving duties of her two grandchildren when she was still physically active. It therefore comes as no surprise that the love she showers on those around her is humbly reciprocated by her family and care staff at the Lodge. Mdm Ang has called the Lodge home for over ten years and treats her fellow residents and care staff as family.
Tribute to Dr Oon Chiew Seng
On behalf of all residents, staff and the Management Committee of Apex Harmony Lodge, we will like to pay our respects to the late Dr Oon Chiew Seng, our dear founder of the Lodge.
A dauntless and virtuous woman who was greatly loved, respected and admired by staff and residents of the Lodge. Your distinguished service and numerous contributions to persons with dementia will be remembered by the many you have touched. Your selflessness in nurturing and growing the Lodge from its birth will be well-treasured. We will strive to carry on your legacy to bring warmth, joy and comfort to many more.
May you rest in peace.
Finding Joy and Meaning Through Work
work, therapy through work, dementia
Mr Or Seng Kee leads a fulfilling life through work in the Home.
For a gentleman with a small built, Mr Or Seng Kee has a big heart within him. He takes the initiative to clean up around the Home and offers to help whenever he sees someone in need. He takes it upon himself to see that the chores like sweeping, mopping and folding are completed. A care staff close to Mr Or recalled how he was apologetic when he could not help with chores once as he was unwell. Such is evident of Mr Or’s strong work ethic, sense of responsibility and purpose.

CNY, Spring Cleaning
Residents spring clean to welcome prosperity this coming Year of Tiger
“It’s very common to do spring cleaning when Chinese New Year is coming,” shares Mr Goh Kian Ho, an easy-going gentleman residing in the Lodge’s Lily Home. On this January morning, Mr Goh and his fellow residents are hard at work, polishing windows and wiping down furniture. These chores may seem mundane but are a natural form of physical activity.
