Alzheimer's Action Day 2026 - Remembering the Past, Celebrating the Future

On 20 September 2026, Apex Harmony Lodge welcomed residents, families, friends and community partners to The Masons Table for our Alzheimer’s Action Day 2026, an afternoon celebrating the abilities, creativity and individuality of persons living with dementia.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Remembering the Past, Celebrating the Future,” guests experienced different aspects of life at the Lodge through CRDL, Namaste Care, Tangle Art, Nagomi Art, and poster presentations. Our friends from Dementia Singapore and National Parks Board also joined us in sharing how we can build a more dementia-inclusive community.

Our AAD speaker, Dr Christopher Lien, reminded us that dementia is closer to us than we may realise and why understanding, inclusion and support matter.

From art and music to walking the red carpet, our residents reminded us that dementia does not take away a person’s identity, individuality or desire to connect and be valued.✨

Thank you to everyone who spent the afternoon with us. Remembering the Past, Celebrating the Future reminds us to honour the lives our residents have lived while continuing to create opportunities for what is still possible. 💜
